Very Soon iPhone is Available in India and registration is also open. And Very soon you can see some more Iphone rivals in Market. Almost all top cell phone makers, including the mobile giant Nokia either have an iPhone rival ready or are vigorously working on the same. In fact, Korean electronic manufacturer LG even stole Apple’s thunder when it unveiled LG Prada, world’s first completely touchscreen phone, in March 2007, almost two months prior to iPhone hitting the market.

So am posting some of the Hottest Rival of iPhone:

Samsung Omnia i900

Korean giant Samsung launched an iPhone look-alike, hours before Apple Chief executive Steve Jobs announced a new version of the iPhone. The Samsung Omnia i900 operates on Quad-band GSM/EDGE and European HSDPA (7.2 Mbps) networks, but an American version may be announced later this year. Unlike most TouchWiz phones to date, the Samsung Omnia i900 comes with an integrated GPS radio, enabling GPS navigation.

The Samsung Omnia i900 offers a range of multimedia features, including a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and face detection, as well as support for DivX, XviD, H.263, H.264 WMV and MP4 video files. The Samsung Omnia i900 will be available in 8GB and 16GB models, and a microSD slot supporting up to 16GB cards allows for further memory expansion.

Samsung Instinct

3G iPhone rivals

Termed as one of the closest iPhone rival, Sprint Nextel Corp is bringing out the smartphone on June 20. With its buttonless face and black monolithic look, the all-touchscreen Instinct is immediately familiar: It’s virtually the same weight and size as the iPhone, only about two-tenths of an inch narrower. Most of the expected specs for any 2008 handset are here: 3G, GPS, 2-megapixel camera (with video recording), and full e-mail and web browsing features. But the Instinct doesn’t stop there; it tries to stake a claim on new ground by adding features its arch rival (even the upcoming version) skips: Haptic feedback buzzes below your fingertip when you work the touchscreen, and voice control lets you do certain tasks sans typing.

Nokia N95 8GB

3G iPhone rivals

Nokia’s N95 8GB is seen as a hot competition to iPhone, though company is also reported to be working on a touchscreen rival. The phone comes with 90MB of free RAM and supports Symbian OS, with full multitasking. One of the major area where Nokia N95 outguns Apple’s latest 3G iPhone is the 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus, multiple scene bright flash, high quality VGA video recording at up to 30 fps and front-facing VGA camera for video calling.

Nokia Tube

3G iPhone rivals

Nokia Tube, the most rumored iPhone-killer. Its current code-name being ‘Tube’, this will be Nokia’s first touch-enabled Series 60 device. The phone is expected to be placed in the high-end segment and will include support for various connectivity options like HSPDA, WLAN, and uPnP. It will also feature GPS and the geo-tagging feature.

The screen is expected to measure around 3 to 3.5 inches. The source claims that the onboard camera will be “much better” than the iPhone, but not as good as the Nseries camera-phones. Though the input mode will not support multi-touch (like the iPhone); the device can be operated with a finger as well as a stylus, and will also include the haptic feedback system.

BlackBerry Bold

The device gets its name from its screen. The BlackBerry Bold features a half-VGA (480×320 pixel resolution) and a 65,000-color display. During some initial product testing, research group participants repeatedly called the screen “bold” and “brilliant.” The Brilliant moniker didn’t really jibe with the company, thus the BlackBerry Bold was born.

Blackberry 9000 Bold features a 2 megapixels camera with video recording capability, the phone comes with built-in flash and 5x digital zoom. For music and video, the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software includes Roxio Media Manager for BlackBerry as well as Roxio Photosuite 9 LE, to edit pictures and create photo albums on the computer.

HTC Touch Diamond

The recently announced HTC Touch Diamond is now available in India exclusively on the Airtel network. The Touch Diamond sports a 3D touch interface called “TouchFLO 3D” that promises animated access to people, messaging, email, photos, music, weather, and more. The device comes with a 2.8-inches VGA touch screen, 3.2 mega pixels auto-focus camera, 4GB internal storage, and integrated GPS for turn-by-turn satellite navigation, and operates on Windows Mobile 6.1.

Other features include Bluetooth with EDR, minUSB, integrated GPS and Wi-Fi. The TouchFLO 3D interface provides animated access to messaging, e-mail, photos, music, weather and other features. In addition, HTC is introducing a new innovative touch-sensitive control for interacting with Touch Diamond.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1

3G iPhone rivals

Similar to Nokia’s N96, the X1 has a spec sheet as long as your arm, though this is where the comparisons should end. With 16GB of storage the N96 is positioned for media playback. The X1 features a three-inch touch-sensitive WVGA (800×480) screen framed in a piano black finish. It’s also a slider, with a full QWERTY keypad under the display. The highlight of the handset’s input is “Xperia panels”; nine colourful menu shortcut thumbnails displayed on the home screen. The X1 also sports an optical joystick, like a mini version of a trackpad found on a laptop. This should make for a better Web browsing experience than on most PDA-phones with directional pad input.

LG KF700

Available in black and silver colours, the phone comes with a full-featured Web browser, support for HSDPA 3G networks, video calling, digital audio and video players as well as handy widgets.

Other features include an MP3 player, MPEG4 video player, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and USB connectivity. External memory is supported via microSD cards.

Good list, but I have seen similar list before. I’m planning to get an XPERIA.
