A new and best way to test your bandwidth

There are lots of tools and soft to test the bandwitch but Speedtest is the best. The site allows you to select servers to ping from around the country on an interactive map and graphically displays connections as they travel with varying speeds along the way. It also lets you store results of tests for your computer and sort them by date, time, speed and distance.

Speedtest.net measures the performance of your broadband connection. At the end of each test, you are presented with the download (the speed of data from the server to your computer) and upload (the speed of sending data from your computer to the server) bandwidth speeds. The tests are performed completely within your web browser over HTTP (just like normal web browsing).

Speedtest provides a simple way to share your results with others–taking the practice of monitoring bandwidth into the Web 2.0 realm.
