Country’s largest telecom service provider Bharti Airtel has revealed its plans to launch iPhone 4, the latest product from Apple Computers’s stable, by October. Bharti Airtel COO Sanjay Kapoor saying, “We are working with Apple. Hopefully, we will launch it in the September-October time frame.” So apparently, we’ll get to see the shiny new iPhone 4 device at the Diwali time this year. This doesn’t come like a shock as we know that the telecom major did introduce iPhone 3G around two years back. We hope to see better exclusive data plans along with the handsets.
As of now, Airtel offers the 3GS handset at a price of Rs 35,500 for the 16 GB model and Rs 41,500 for the 32GB model, however price of iPhone 4 has not been disclosed yet. At the moment Airtel is in negotiation with US – based Apple Inc. to bring the phone to India and price would be disclosed once the deal is sealed.
