Google has finally unveiled the long-awaited Android 2.3 operating system, more commonly known now as Gingerbread. The new platform includes many improvements over its predecessors in terms of design, speed, usability and many more. The new Android 2.3 Gingerbread introduces many refinements and new features for users and developers, and the newly launched Nexus S runs on this platform. Google says version 2.3 is the fastest version of Android so far.
