Just Before the launch of Apple newbie iPad, Apple released the new iTunes 9.1 with iPad Support. On Tuesday, the company released iTunes 9.1, bringing iPad support to the company’s multimedia jukebox software, and improving support for Genius Mixes. The update also adds organization and sync for iBooks, though the iBookstore is not yet available for your perusal. iTunes also now lets you rename, rearrange, and remove your Genius Mixes.
New features include:
- Audiobooks, will be replaced instead with a Books section, which will display all compatible book content for connected devices.
- Users will have more flexibility with Genius Mixes; now allowing for renaming mixes, rearrangement by dragging and deletion from right clicking.
- Several changes made regarding device support; Check for Update and Restore buttons have been moved to the left side of the screen.
- Allows for automatically converting songs to 128 kbps AAC format when syncing.
