Today BSNL launched high speed broadband services offering speeds as high as 24 Mbps and delivered over very high speed digital subscriber loop (VDSL) technology. Bharat Sanchar Nigam (BSNL) has become the first internet service provider to offer the fastest broadband speed in the country by offering customers broadband connection speed up to 24 Mbps. To avail the fastest broadband @ 24 Mbps customers will have to pay Rs 4,999 a month for speeds up to 16 Mbps and Rs 9,999 a month for speeds up to 24 Mbps.
The services are available to those customers which are located close to broadband exchange nodes. The 24 Mbps services will be available to those customers which are located up to 500 metre cable route distance from the exchange while 16 mbps will be available to customers located up to 1 km from the exchange.
