How to Create Google+ Posts via SMS Messages

A few months back I wrote a post how to Schedule Google+ post with Buffer application and Do Share Google Chrome Extension. Today, we found a new trick which allows you to updates your Google+ status via text message. With the help of this trick you can easily share your post on your Google+ circles. The trick is pretty simple and doesn’t need any third-party application or any other addon. All you have to activate Google+ SMS service on your account and you are ready to go. Once the service is enabled on your account you can send commands from your mobile phone like to Share a post publicly use this command Add +public to your post etc. The commands are available in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Hebrew, Swahili, Indonesian, and Thai.

We tested this service on our mobile number and it works pretty fine. Let’s Take a Look how this will work on the Google+ and how to activate your phone for Google+ SMS.

Go to your Google+ Profile and login with your username and password. After that go to your Google+ account setting or visit your Google+ Settings page here. On the Setting page enter your mobile number by clicking the Add Phone Number link. Once the phone number is added on your account, you will receive a text message with your verification code on your mobile phone, enter that code into the space provided and select the Confirm button.

Now from the same setting page check the “Allow posting by SMS” option, Now Google+ will provide you a unique 10 digit phone number which you can use to start posting updates via SMS. See the screenshot below:-
