CrossFTP Server is a FREE, open-source, and rock solid professional FTP Server for multiple platforms. Its main features are GUI Administration, TLS/SSL security, monitoring, logging, File/LDAP/Database backend. It offers you a high-performance, extremely configurable, and most of all a secure enabled FTP server.
This one is very different to FireFTP because it can run as a standalone program. So, instead of opening up Firefox and going through the pull-down menus all the time, you can just visit your desktop for a quick double-click to FTP your heart away.
