LauncherPro home screen app offers a multitude of useful configuration options and practical features that are not available in Android’s standard home screen. By default you have 3 home screens which is configurable to up to 7 in the Settings menu. Along the lower section are convenient icons with quick links to Phone, Contacts, Android Apps Launcher Drawer, Messaging, and Browser apps. The latest release added numbered notification icons for new text messages, missed calls and new emails.
LauncherPro is free ,but if you upgrade to the paid version, you get a suite of widgets that are pretty good. There are the usual (contacts, calendar, etc.), as well as Facebook and Twitter widgets for the home screen. The paid version is $2.99.
