Download and Install Android 2.3.4 on Nexus S

Google announced a software update for the Nexus S which help Nexus S user to enjoy voice and video chat over a carrier’s network (3G or 4G) or Wi-Fi, through Gtalk, here is the guide How to Video Chat on your Android Phone. Currently Android 2.3.4 update is only available for Nexus S devices, but very soon it will be launch for other smartphones.

This usually means that software version 2.3.4 won’t be available on other Android 2.3 or newer devices for at least 3 months or more.

Here are your instructions to Install Android 2.3.4 on Nexus S:

1. Download the file from Google right here

2. Place it on the root of your internal storage

3. Shut down the phone and reboot into the bootloader by holding volume up and powering back on

4. Now Use the volume buttons to choose “recovery” from the list, To select the option click once on the power button.

5. When you see the triangle on your screen, hold power and then press volume up and you’ll have a list of options, choose the file to update

Once the update is completed, you will be able to enjoy video and voice chat with your friends, family and colleagues right from your Android phone.
