With one day left to go until the iPhone 3G launch, Apple has released iTunes 7.7. It also includes the new iTunes App Store, which is available for iPhone users who have the iPhone 2.0 Software Update. iTunes 7.7 is specifically designed to work with iPhone / iPod touch software 2.0. As rumored, the new release also adds a Remote app that lets users control iTunes playback from anywhere around the house.

“Use iTunes 7.7 to sync music, video, and more with iPhone 3G, and download applications from the iTunes Store exclusively designed for iPhone and iPod touch with software version 2.0 or later. Also use the new Remote application for iPhone or iPod touch to control iTunes playback from anywhere in your home – a free download from the App Store,” says Apple.

Soon enough, Apple will be releasing iPhone software 2.0, the new MobileMe service (replacing .Mac) which has push email, push calendars, push contacts, and bookmarks delivered over the air straight to your iPhone, and of course, the highly anticipated App Store.
