Firsrt you should have to install Greasemonkey in your Firefox. After that click the link of your fav themes , a Greasemonkey window will pop up and ask you whether to install or not. Install it from there. After that, visit orkut.com and you’ll see the changes.
can other friends view my orkut theme if they dont hav firebox n greasemonkey?

No they Can,t. Coz those themes are only working for you only, not for others.

I know vinayak. You can use themes for your use only.
It works only in your PC. Like Using of wallpapers and screensaver in our PC.

Thats totally false statement. those themes installed in ORKUT are visible to everyone. so download it if u want and let the world know whats ur style statement!!

you have to uninstall the defaullt theme of orkut if u have already used them, then the new themes will work properly.
chk this page for instructions
also u need not to uninstall greasemonkey,just delete themes .
again u can use default orkut theme from settings page of orkut.
