These days wordpress is the best platform for Blog and Sites. Most of the users are using wordpress these days and most of them are always worried about the backup. How do it, what are the easiest way etc. Most of them are too lazy to actually do it or have no clear idea of how it can be done. So am here posting some free tools which are very helpful to wordpress backup.

1. BlogBackupOnline: BlogBackupOnline is a web application that provides backup of your blog content. If you back up at all, trying to manually back up your blog is complex and tedious. BlogBackupOnline allows you to register your blog with a few simple clicks, and then maintains a current copy of your blog content at all times by backing up your blog daily. Set up BlogBackupOnline once and then stop worrying about backup.

Users get 50MB of storage, coz right now they are in Beta stage, but keep in mind the tool is only grabbing text and HTML formatting code, not pictures, videos, or any other related files. If you do run out of space, (for now) the service is offering users extra room for people who hit the storage ceiling.

2. Wordpress Database Backup - WordPress database backup creates backups of your core WordPress tables as well as other tables of your choice in the same database. Simple no-brainer plugin to schedule daily, weekly or monthly database backups. Backups can be emailed to your email or stored on your server.

3. WP-DB Manager: This one helps you manage, optimize and run queries on your database. Useful indeed. It provides complete database management right from the admin interface. Automatic backups, database restore, optimization, repair, table add/drop options, SQL command line and more. ‘WP-DB Manager’ is more complicated than ‘Wordpress Database Backup’ however it provides a much-needed ‘restore from backup’ feature.

I use BlogBackup Online and WordPress Database Backup to backup my blogs daily. It is definitely safe to have regular backups just to protect against crashes.
