GIMP is an acronym for GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed program for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring. The GIMP 2.4 release is out. There’s a lot of stuff in 2.4, including improved selection tools, proper color management, red-eye removal, and much more; see the release notes for details.

So now this time GIMP is packed with some new feature:

* Redesigned crop, selection, and align tools
* Scalable bitmap brushes
* Reorganized menu layout
* Full support for color profiles
* Improved printing
* Auto red eye removal tool
* Improved display when zooming in or out
* Support for more file formats

Last but not least, the gimp.org Website has been redesigned and comes with a fresh cool orange/black look! Great work.
