Now you can Import Contac and Mail to your Gmail, As announced on the Gmail Blog, the folks at Google have added an important update to Gmail: mail and contact import features for everyone. Now you can import messages and contacts from other mail services like Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL.

Using the new feature is pretty straightforward. There is a new Accounts and import tab in the Settings page that lets users manage this feature. Clicking “Import mail and contacts” will bring up a window with a wizard set up to guide users through the importing process. Then they can import the saved contacts but also all of the emails received up to that point.
Copying mail over usually takes a couple days, occasionally up to a week — but eventually it all arrives. And once it’s done, you can forget your old account and enjoy having everything in one place.
