WhatsApp is the one of the most messaging app for android and iOS users, recently the messaging service is acquired by Facebook at $19 billion. Now the application comes with some new privacy features such as hide last seen status and profile pic. Last seen hide status is already available for iPhone users and now this new feature is also available for the android users. Currently the new version of the application is not available in the Google play store, but you can download the latest apk file of the application form the WhatsApp site. With this new and awesome feature you can easily control over your Online status.
The new version might be still in beta, and we can expect it to roll out to users through Google Play soon. Once the application is installed on your android, all you have to make some changes on your WhatsApp settings page to hide the status. These new options are available under Settings -> Account -> Privacy. See the screenshot below for more info.
From the settings page you can easily change last seen, status and profile pic settings. Once the settings is enabled on your WhatsApp service no one can see you last online status or your profile picture. A nice and worth feature for all those WhatsApp users who don’t want to show the online status to other WhatsApp users.
If you want to hide you status than you have to must install the new version of the application on your android smartphone. But before that do take the backup of your WhatsApp chat messages.
