Install Gapps on Android 6 Marshmallow & CM13 Custom ROMs

To enjoy all the Android 6 Marshmallow & CM13 Custom ROMs on your phones, you need to Install Gapps or Google Apps zip file on your phone. GApps zip package will include Play, Camera, Keyboard, Gmail, Youtube and Google Application. Here in this Guide, we’ll show you how to Install Gapps on Android 6 Marshmallow & CM13 Custom ROMs. All the CM 13 or any other Android 6 Marshmallow custom ROMS comes without the Google Applications. The reason is that due to the large size of these Google apps which make the whole custom ROM package heavier to download. So you have to download them separately and install them on your phone after flashing the Custom Rom.

How to Install Gapps on Android 6 Marshmallow & CM13 Custom ROMs

Step 1. Use the link below and choose the right Gapps or Google Apps version for your phone.

Download Gapps Zip file here.

Step 2. Now Place the downloaded Gapps zip file to the root of your device and remebr the location of the file.

Step 3. Now boot your phone in recovery mode. To do this turn off you phone and Hold Vol Down + Power for 5 seconds, which should work on most phones. Or See this Guide to know more about Recovery Mode.

Step 4. Once you are in recovery, you should see something like this on your screen. 1st Screen is TWRP recovery, and 2nd One is CWM recovery.

Step 5. Now from here select the Install option to flash the Gapps on your phone.

Step 6. Now from here Browser the GApps Zip file that you saved in Step 2.

Step 7. Once the file is located, it’s time to flash the file.

Step 8. After the install is complete, go back to the recovery main menu and clear your cache.

Step 9. Reboot your phone.

Now Google Apps are successfully installed on your Custom ROM.
