Install OxygenOS 2.0.2 Update on OnePlus 2 Android

Method 1 For Non Rooted users with Stock Recovery

Step 1. To apply this OxygenOS 2.0.2 OTA update you phone should be on 2.0.1. If not then follow this guide to update your phone to 2.0.1.

Step 2. After that download the Oyxgen OS 2.0.2 OTA zip file here and don’t extract or unzip the folder.

Step 3. Now move the OTA zip file on your phone internal memory.

Step 4. Now boot your Oneplus 2 in recovery mode. See here how to do that.

Step 5. Now your phone will boot in recovery mode. From here select “Apply Update” and browse the file which you saved on your phone.

Step 6. Now the flashing process will start on your oneplus 2 and this will take some time.

Step 7. Once completed go back and reboot system.

Method 2 For Rooted users with TWRP Recovery

Step 1. Download the Full ROM Zip file here And move the Zip file on your phone internal memory

Step 2. Boot to TWRP mode.

Step 3. Wipe system, cache, dalvik (recommended) from recovery.

Step 4. Now after that Flash the rom zip.

Step 5. Reboot now.

Now your phone will reboot and Oneplus 2 is running on the latest OxygenOS 2.0.2 Update

  2. So for rooted users there is no other way than to constantly download full roms and wipe all data everytime an update appears? Sounds tedious!!!

  3. Hey, I was trying to Install the system update from my cellphone, but TWRP shows this.
    E: Error executing updater binary in zip ‘@/cache/recovery/block.map’
    E: Error installing zip file ‘@/cache/recovery/block.map’
    Do you know how to update the system from my cellphone?
    I dont want to download and Wipe my system every time when I update. Thank you!
