Now you can Jialbreak your iPhone 3.1.2 with new blackra1n RC3, with this new tool you can jailbreak your iphone 3.1.2 on 05.11.07 baseband. you can download the blackra1n RC3 from here. Now here are the steps which help you to jailbreak your iphone 3.1.2.
Here is the Guide.
1. Download and install the latest version of iTunes here.
2. Now update or restore to the original iPhone OS firmware 3.1.2 on your iPhone by the latest version of iTunes. Or Download it from here :-

Download iPhone OS 3.1.2 for iPhone 3G

3. Download blackra1n RC3 for Windows and Mac
4. Start blackra1n tool.
5. Click on “make it ra1n”:blackra1n RC3
6. Now wait for some time and wait to reboot your iphone
7. Now Bllackra1n is installed in your iPhone. Run “blackra1n” app and select “Cydia”. This will jailbreak your iPhone or iPod touch on iPhone 3.1.2 firmware.

I just updated to 3.1.2 today, only because of blacksn0w. My iphone has been jailbroken since the first jailbreak was available. I’ve never done anything to it since. I’ve kept it as is. I wanted to update and jailbreak/unlock with the new version, but after I restore it with 3.1.2. and click “make it ra1n” my phone goes into recovery mode and doesn’t do anything else. At all. It just brings up that dread “connect to iTunes” screen. What exactly am I doing wrong? I read it’s the simplest jailbreak ever, but so far this was been a huge migraine. :/

do you solve the problem? If you are runing windows7, try:
1. SAVE blackra1n.exe in C:\
2. Make Compatibility as Windows XP SP3
3. Right click and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR
p.s what OS Iphone did you had before
and you have 3G or 3GS?

This is awesome, I have new iphone 3.1.2 & 05.11.07 used mac with 10.4.11 os to run blackra1n and blacksn0w. I did the full restore as requested before starting, this was the hardest. Everything works fine except youtube and video attachments. Quick time does work. I must be missing some extension or something. Can anyone help?
