Microsoft Bing, has finally made an iPhone app, which is now up on the Apple iTunes app store. And the app itself offers a terrific overall mobile search experience, particularly in maps and local. Like Google’s Mobile app, the Bing application is a free App Store download, and acts as a gateway to Bing’s Web search and other services. It maintains the Bing Web site’s look and feel, with text laid atop a colorful background image, but using simplified menu options for navigation.

Microsoft has already made Bing apps for Windows phones, the BlackBerry from Research in Motion, the Sidekick and select BREW-based devices on Verizon, as well as Bing mobile from a browser. Download Bing For iPhone here
