Just a week after its official release, the Google Nexus S has gotten its first OTA (Over-The-Air) Update Build GRH78. The update addresses web lag on Google’s first Android 2.3 phone, while fixing several Google Map bug issues. Several other undisclosed fixes have also been reported by Google, but have not been disclosed in full.

If you didn,t get the update till now, than try this trick. Just dial *#*#checkin#*#* from the dialer and you should get the update notification.
Or Install the Update Manually:-
* Download the OTA package here
* Rename it to update.zip, and place it on the root of your internal storage
* Shut down your phone, and reboot into the bootloader by holding volume up and powering back on
* Use the volume buttons to choose “recovery” from the list, and select it with the power button
* When you see the red triangle on your screen, press volume up and power once more and you’ll have a list of options, choose to update
