Nokia software updater is now launched

Some days back one of my friends told me that Nokia is going to released the Nokia software Updater. And Now its Launched. Now with this tool you can update your mobile phone by own, so no need to go to Customer Care Centre or engineer or a Nokia dealer.

You can Update your phone by 2 method :-

Update over-the-air: you need a compatible phone, Nokia software (firmware) update over-the-air settings, and standard settings enabling Internet access. If you don’t have settings you can order them from www.nokia.com/phonesettings. If you still have connectivity problems, check with your operator for more information on Internet access.

Update via PC:

PC with 1GHz or higher Pentium-compatible processor
At least 256 MB of RAM (memory)
Windows 2000 (SP4 or later) or Windows XP (SP1 or SP2)
Administration rights on the PC while installing
High-speed internet connection

Fully charged, compatible Nokia phone
Compatible Nokia USB connection cable
Compatible USB port on your PC

In order to receive the phone software updates, all the user would need to do, is go to the Nokia website, check the mobile phone of choice and it will show the methods of downloading the software updates, either over the air or via a computer, once the method is found then it is just a matter of installing and running the program on the computer and then connecting the phone to the computer via the USB port, and then the update is complete, if the phone is able to receive the software updates over the air, then nothing could be simpler, the phone gets the updates directly over the air, no need for a computer, but an access to the internet, but this way there will be mobile phone charges, whereas with the computer method there are no charges that will apply as this is done over the internet?
