Hi, has any one successfully jailbreaked and iPod touch 1st gen with 2.2.1??? I need to know before I try, because I was reading in a different site that this is 2.2.1 is beta software?? Any word on that?? Thanks

@Matt – Have you figured out how to fix your Touch? I’ve recently jailbroken my iPod Touch 1g 2.2.1 and it seems to be hanging at the Apple logo even though QuickPWN says everything was installed or done successfully.

Any help is appreciated!

I’ve Jailbroken my iPod (or so it seems, as I’ve gotten a message from QuickPwn saying it completed succesfully) but it appears to have hung at the Apple logo. I’m not exactly sure what’s happening here, can anyone help? I’m open to suggestions. It’s at least the 2.2 Firmware (I don’t know if it’s 2.2.1 or not) because I didn’t want to update to 3.1.2 because I heard it’s un-Jailbreakable…It’s a 1st Gen Touch.

@ George- I had the same problem in the beginning. I found it out was a .NET Framework error, so go to Microsoft and download the latest version (3.0) and install it. It should work from there, at least up until the part where I’m stuck.

And by the way, I’m hearing many Windows sounds for plugging in and unplugging external hardware.
