Clever Hippo is a search engine for applications and widgets. On Clever Hippo, Facebook users can search a database of the over 1,000 apps already created as well as new ones being added everyday. On Clever Hippo, users can search for a term and narrow the results by daily active users, percent of active users, or most recently added. Searches are also refined by “or” and “not” strings as well as boosting which places emphasis on one search word in comparison to the others. The results are displayed in an organized and clear fashion and apps can be magnified for better viewing, or the search can be modified.
