Yesterday Skype has released the New Skype 2.8 beta for Mac Users. There have two main features for this new version, Skype Access and Screen Sharing. Among other extras, this new version includes two all-new features: The first lets you use your Skype credit to pay for Boingo Wi-Fi hotspots on a minute-by-minute basis. So, forget having to fork over $10 just to send a quick message off to your loved one or business partner. Now you can do it for actual small change–just US$0.19/minute.

* Make free Skype-to-Skype calls to anyone else, anywhere in the world.
* Call ordinary phones and mobiles at pretty cheap rates per minute.
* See who you are talking to with video calls.
* Send SMS messages to friends on the move and set up call forwarding so they can contact you.
* Group chat with up to 100 people or conference call with up to nine others.
* Search the web with the Google Toolbar (optional install).
* Free to download.
