Nokia Ovi Store is Live Now
Nokia today officially launched the Ovi Store. Nokia said it opened its online software and content store, Ovi Store, globally to some 50 million phone users on Tuesday. Nokia aims to follow the success of Apple’s App Store with its new offering. The Ovi Store allows developers to list their programs in an online catalog so users can easily download or buy them.

Google Launched a new Video Player for Symbian, Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile. It’s also much faster — up to 90% faster starting up, searching, and video loading — and gives you better video quality that’s automatically optimized to your WiFi or 3G network. The app enables users to watch videos, view a list of the top-rated clips, and search for videos.
Nokia N86 8MP pictures & Features
Nokia joined Samsung, LG, and Sony Ericsson Tuesday by introducing an 8-megapixel camera phone, the relatively petite Nokia N86 8 Mega Pixel camers . Nokia N86 8MP is in many ways like Nokia’s N85 Symbian-powered smartphone, with a super-bright 2.6″, 320×240 OLED screen. The N86’s star feature is an 8-megapixel camera with a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens on the back, which also captures 640×480 video at 30 frames per second. The camera has a two-LED flash – much brighter than a single LED.
Nokia N97 Loaded with Skype
Internet calling company Skype has secured a deal with Nokia under which the world’s biggest phone maker will preload Skype software into some of its new smartphones starting from the third quarter of this year. Nokia is pre-installing a Skype client on the flagship N97 handset, being launched in June, allowing users to make VoIP calls without paying a penny to the network operator who is still expected to subsidise the cost of the phone

Nokia Unveils Ovi App Store
Nokia has unveiled its new mobile app store which it hopes will take on Apple’s App Store. It’s called Ovi Store, and will launch in May, replacing Nokia’s existing Nokia Download, MOSH and WidSets services.
Nokia App Store Launch on Monday
According to Reuters, Nokia is set to unveil a mobile applications store of its own on Monday morning at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Nokia promised in early December to launch its own download store “soon,” as the Finnish firm merges its software Download! store with free media sharing site Mosh and widget service WidSets.
