Gmail & Yahoo also Hit By E-mail Phishing Attacks
Yesterday we reported on the big news that thousands of Hotmail Passwords Leaked online. Now Users of Gmail and Yahoo have joined Hotmail as victims in what appears to be a large-scale webmail phishing campaign designed to steal login credentials. The 10,000 passwords and user names, believed to be booty from a phishing attack, were posted over the weekend to the clipboard site PasteBin The list included only online account addresses that began with “A” or “B,” suggesting that the list was only part of a larger cache of credentials. On Tuesday, the BBC reported that it had viewed a second list of more than 20,000 account credentials that included Gmail, Yahoo and AOL accounts, and that Google had uncovered a third list containing an unknown number of accounts.

Flickr has finally launched its own official app for the Apple iPhone. Flickr’s new app lets you uploads your pics or You can also search for photos and videos, of course, and do all the usual stuff with whatever you find: add to favorites, share via e-mail, leave a comment, etc. The photo-sharing site knows that Apple’s iPhone has long been one of its most popular cameras, which could be why Flickr rolled out the app. Regardless of the reason, iPhone users and amateur photogs are likely happy to see the white, red and blue icon available on their phone.

Yahoo giant has directly challenged the current favourite of netizens – Twitter and launched a microblogging platform called Yahoo Meme. It looks like Yahoo definitely has lofty ambitions for Yahoo Meme, as it has stealthily rolled the micro-blogging service out in Spanish and now in English to appeal to the masses.
Yahoo Meme is currently available in an invite only mode, where a user can create the account after receiving invitation.

YPOPS! is a small application that provides free POP3 access to Yahoo! Mail. YPOPs! is a Windows, Linux, Solaris and Mac program providing POP3 access to Yahoo! Mail. Yahoo! Mail disabled free access to its POP3 service in April 2002. This resulted in many people (including myself) to look for alternative free POP3 services.
