Google has officially opened the TestTube where engineers and developers can test recipes and concoctions for new YouTube initiatives. Two of the upcoming YouTube initiative – AudioSwap and Streams are already available for testing.

AudioSwap can swap the audio track of your video and replace them with legal soundtracks composed by various artists and other record labels. Artists in return will get free attribution on your video. This is not a feature which everybody might use, but it’s still a win-win feature for both users and artists.

The Streams feature in the lab allows users to share videos real time with other YouTube users. This is done by creating a YouTube room where users can join, watch videos and interact with each other.
