Are you looking for a highly professional, FTP client? And there are so many FTP Clients on the Net some are free and some are paid Version. So am here posting the List of Top 10 Ftp Clients which are very useful to us.

Here is the List of Top 10 Ftp Clients

1. WinSCP
- WinSCP (Windows Secure copy) is an open source SFTP and FTP client for Microsoft Windows. Its main function is secure file transfer between a local and a remote computer. Beyond this, WinSCP offers basic file manager functionality. For secure transfers, it uses Secure Shell (SSH) and supports the SCP protocol in addition to SFTP.

2. FileZilla- FileZilla Client (also referred to as FileZilla) is a free, open source, cross-platform FTP client. Binaries are available for Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X. It supports FTP, SFTP, and FTPS (FTP over SSL/TLS). As of June 20, 2008, it was the 10th most popular download of all time from SourceForge.net. FileZilla Server is a sister product of FileZilla Client. It is an FTP server supported by the same project and features support for FTP and FTP over SSL/TLS.
FileZilla’s source code is hosted on SourceForge. The project was featured as Project of the Month in November 2003.

3. Transmit (Mac OS X)- Transmit is an FTP client for Mac OS X and Mac OS Classic (which is unsupported). Developed by Panic, Transmit is shareware - after a 15 day trial period, some features of the product are disabled until it has been purchased.
The current version, Transmit 3, includes a number of new features, like uploading using a Dashboard widget or the dock, support for .Mac and iDisk/WebDAV, Spotlight and Automator plugins and more.

4. FlashFXP- FlashFXP is an FTP/FXP client that allows FTP transfers directly between two servers (allowing you to transfer files independent of your PC’s connection speed). FlashFXP uses a familiar, Explorer-like interface that even the most novice user can master in minutes. It offers features such as drag-and-drop, CHMOD support, SSL/TLS transfer, enterprise-friendly rollout options, firewall and proxy support, strong application encryption, speed limiting, statistics, scheduling, and autoreconnecting.

5. FireFTP- FireFTP is a free, secure, cross-platform FTP client for Mozilla Firefox which provides easy and intuitive access to FTP servers. Version 0.94.2 adds the ability to keep directories in sync and greatly improved drag-and-drop support. Version 0.99 adds support for Firefox 3.0.

6. Cyberduck (Mac OS X)
- Cyberduck is an open-source SFTP (SSH Secure File Transfer) and FTP browser licenced under the GPL. Cyberduck features the same intuitive interface for both FTP and SFTP browsing and is now Mac-only, with a completely rewritten user interface using the Cocoa framework. You can open connections to multiple servers, thanks to its document-based interface. A simple Favorites manager allows you to store frequently used servers.

7. SmartFTP- SmartFTP allows you to transfer files across the Internet. It features an Explorer-like, customizable interface and supports drag-and-drop functions. Multiple FTP connections can be opened at the same time, and you can copy files from one remote host to another (FXP). Remote-host directory information is cached for future viewing, and FTP URLs are supported. Other features include a Favorites list; the ability to resume broken downloads; a global history; background transfers; proxy support; a passive transfer mode; and the ability to perform recursive downloads, uploads, and deletes.

8. AceFTP Pro- AceFTP Pro is a file-transfer solution, designed for novices and experts alike. It offers numerous advanced features, such as SSH2 protocol support, management of queued files, a file-transfer scheduler, and integration of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.

9. FTP Commander Pro- FTP Commander Pro allows you to upload and download data or delete one or more files, including whole folders, along with subdirectories.
FTP Commander Pro can also automatically resume and complete file transfers, which for some reason, have been interrupted, or periodically attempt to connect with the FTP server if the pervious link was unsuccessful.

10. LeechFTP- “FTP client - Not in your directories, but very good product! LeechFTP has a feature to check for updates from within the program, you can access this in the Tools menu. A small dialog will show up and tells you wether there is a newer version or not. This is done by connecting to this server, so you have to be connected to the internet.”

    Raj,

    Thanks for the list. I have used few of the client’s you’ve mentioned here. Since I use firefox extensively, I’ve settled down with FireFTP for quite some time now. FireFTP gets the job done for me.

    This list looks good. Meanwhile I’d recommend CrossFTP (Win, Mac, and Linux) to those heavy FTP users for its powerful multi-tab, FTP/SFTP/WebDav protocols, and multi-thread engine. Works quite well here.
