Good news to all iphone users that Geohot released the new Tool Blacksn0w to Unlock iphone 3.1.2. Here is the Guide Which will Help you to Unlock your iPhone 3.1.2 on 05.11.07 baseband. But to Unlock you iphone first you have to jailbreak your iphone here is the guide How to Jailbreak iphone 3.1.2 with Blackra1n RC3. After jailbreak do follow these steps, and don,t forget us to subscribe for more updates.
1. Launch Cydia from your iPhone.
2. Select Manage from the tabs at the bottom of the screen.
3. And Now Press the large Sources button.
4. Press the Edit button at the top right of the screen.
5. Press the Add button at the top left of the screen.
6. Input http://www.blackra1n.com as the source address then press the Add button. Once Cydia has added the source press the large Return to Cydia button.
7. Now Press the Done button.
8. Press blackra1n.com from the list of sources.
9. Now Press to select blacksn0w from the list of packages.
10. Press the Install button at the top right of the screen.
11. Press the Confirm button at the top right to begin installation.
12. Once the unlock has been installed successfully press the large Return to Cydia button.
13. Wait a few minutes for your CommCenter to restart after that you iphone is unlocked.
I just realized he works for Apple, hence the break apart. I just ran BlackRain and the first thing it does is download your phone statistics and presumable collects/emails them.

I have tried this multiple times, it unlocks great but after i shut off the phone it is locked again and i have rerun the itunes/iphone software. Once I do this then i have to redo it.. What am i doin wrong?

So here’s my story,
I have upgraded my iphone 3g to 3.1.2 for obvious reasons the baseband has also upgraded to 05.11.07. Now when i jailbreak it with Blackra1n, the phone gets jailbroken. But when i TAP the Blackra1n icon i do not get Cydia,Rock & Snow. All i get is Please Check Your Internet Connection & unistall Blackra1n. I’m using a wireless internet connection.
Now because of this error i cannot install Cydia which results in leaving my phone unlocked. It doesn’t recognises my sim.
Please help.

I have an iphone 3gs 3.1.2 firmware 5.11.07. i have jailbroken my iphone but there is no blackra1n icon in my iphone. im using it normally but i cant switch off my iphone,otherwise it will show tht Connect to usb icon. i was deciding on updating my iphone to software 4.0.1. if i update to this software and if im not able to jailbreak my iphone in this version of the software (that is 4.0.1). can i come back to old version of 3.1.2. can any1 plzz help me out.
