Again so Quickly Dev Team released the new Pwnage tool 3.1.4 to Jailbreak iphone 3GS 3.1.2 on MAC. But again this time it was not available for the Windows. So again we made a iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 Activated Custom Firmware to Jailbreak and Unlock iPhone 3GS 3.1.2. Yes i tried it this on my iPhone 3GS on Windows and it was working so smoothly. But only users with a previously Jailbroken iPhone 3GS should try this tutorial and yes it does not work for those who have an iPhone 3GS with Firmware 3.1 out-of-the-box. So here is the guide:-
If your on baseband 05.11.07 thans read this Unlock iPhone 3.1.2 baseband 05.11.07 with blacksn0w
Download all these 3 Rapidshare Links and Join with them HJsplit and Unzip it on your desktop.

After Joining them with HJsplit and savie it on the Desktop do these steps.
1. Download and intsall iTunes 9, and then run it.

2. Connect your iPhone 3GS to the Windows PC.

3. Click ‘Restore’ while holding SHIFT key and select the Custom IPSW that you saved in your desktop.

4. Now sit back and enjoy as iTunes does the rest for you. Once everything is processed and OS boots up, install Ultrasnow, See below how to do that.

5. Start “Cydia” on your iPhone and click “Manage” tab on the bottom than “Sources” as seen in the screenshot below:
6. Click “Edit” and then on “Add”. Now enter a url source
as seen in the screenshot below. Type “http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com” and touch on “Add Source”.
7. Now Cydia will automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
8. After installation is completed. Search for “ultrasn0w” in Cydia and install it.
Thats it! now your
iPhone 3GS 3.1.2 is Jailbreak and Unlock too. Enjoy it, and yes don,t forget to Subscribe us feed Here and Follow us on twitter too.

would be great, if it would work, but it doesn’t.
The unlock does not work, because of the baseband change withe the new FW 3.1.2….

No this will not upgrade your baseband.
I have a iphone 3gs with firmware 3.0, jailbreaked with ultrasnow and use a o2 simcard.
can i use this guide to update the firmware to 3.1.2 and use my simcard in future ?
must i use a activated custom firmware or an unactivated firmware ?

Well, i also have the problem that update the new iTunes and it is locked my cell phone since i don’t use AT&T. I followed your step, downloaded the file only; however, after i install the file that i have downloaded above, i cant continue sine the iTunes said that unknown error 1604

my iphone was 3.0 with o2-network lock, then there was an upgrade to 3.1…i had all acces to the phone, except for sim. now i have upgrade to 3.1.2 from itunes original and can do only Emergency calls. its baseband 05-11-07…will these steps works also on my iphone and solve the problem?

I have a question: i have follwed aour guide and everything works fine. But i cant sync apps which require fw 3.1 for example the game “canabalt” i have jb and appsync 3.1 installed.

My 3gs was locked due to official update 3.1 .. its been 1 month my cell is locked … now if i restore with this 3.1.2 will my phone be some stable as in a ipod ? i mean i know till now no baseband unlock for 5.11.07 but … can i restore my locked iphone with this firmware in inorder to use wifi , cydia , games and songs ? inshort an ipod for the time being ??

hi today i update my iphone ( 32 GB S), via Itune, now my phone firmwire 3.1.2,when it is finished, i see my my has lock, can u tel me how i can unlock my, if anybody can help me pls pls pls pls pls Help me

Yes it was with Cydia.
After the installation you have to run Cydia to Unlock it

Install the latest iTunses Version. Restart your PC and Iphone than do it. It works
I installed iTunes 9.0.1.8., plugged in the iPhone, did a backup, then did the Shift + Restore pointing the custom ipsw. I then performed the upgrade as instructed on a iPhone 3GS 3.01 firmware with baseband 4.26.08 (jailbroken) and it worked perfectly. I know have 3.12 firmware with baseband 4.26.08 (jailbroken) and unlocked with ultrasn0w. It worked perfectly.
i have a new iphone 3.1 basband 5,11 and can i jail break it in the windows . do i have to updat it or i will not unlock its new in the box came with 3.1
By mistakly update from 3.0 to 3.1 via itunes, now i m stuck with 3.1, can i upgrade to 3.1.2 will this will allow me to use other sim card.

I have a factory unlocked iphone 3gs model no mc 131x modem firmware 05.11.07. tried jailbreaking using blackra1n but errors were there and later came to know that blackra1n does not work for MC models. i am on firmware 3.1.2 updated after blackra1n issue. Now which custom firmware do i download and restore to and will it work…

Hi i did this to my iPhone 3G it came with OS 3.0.1 out of the box i did the jailbreak to 3.1.2 baseband is 4.26.08 but when I installed ultrasn0w It didn’t worked for me it says searching for a long time and then just goes to No Service it seems like a straightforward and easy method I don’t know what went wrong any suggestions?

i was using AT&T Unlocked 32 gb 3GS
with a 3.0 firmware & 4.26.08 modem,
i just followed what u explained and everthing is working fine.
I unlocked it with no problem and i can still use
my turkish simcard and my modem firmware is
still the same.

I have an iPhone 3GS that is already Factory Unlocked.
(I bought it from SingTel. The Singapore government’s rule that all iPhone sold in Singapore must be factory unlocked)
It is now in 3.0 firmware, If in the future I want to upgrade it to 3.1, will it affect the Factory Unlock?? since they said that the baseband will permanently changed. (because I’m using another simcard -not from singtel-)
Or the upgrade just will affect the iPhone that with Software Unlock (not Factory Unlock)

You guys gotta stop using rapidshare… its a piece of shit and now only premium members can download it.
No matter how many ways or times I try to Jailbreak/Unlock my brand new Iphone 3GS, I get the msg “Different SIM detected: Please connect to ITunes” when I put my TMobile SIM in. Here’s the steps:
1. I used blackrain per the instructions without ITunes running. I hit make it rain. Everything looks good like its down loading.
2. I enable my wireless on the phone and launch the blackrain icon on my phone. I install both Cydia and snow. Everything appears to install ok
3. I swap my ATT sim with my TMobile sim and get the above error msg. I can make and receive calls with the TMobile sim in. The weird thing is when I receive a call, it is as if my contacts are loaded because the persons name appears that is calling me. It also recognizes that it is a TMobile sim by the Tmobile at the top left hand corner of the phone.
4. The extra things I have done to try to make it work.
a. Restore the iphone using ITunes then started the process all over again.
b. Repeated the process with 3G enabled and disabled
c. Tried to install Blackrain with either the Sim cards (Tmobile or At&T) and with none
d. After install of snow & cydia with At&t sim, removed Sim, did reboot then installed Tmobile sim
Here are the particulars on my phone: Version 3.1.2 (7D11); s/n 32946 (1st 5 #s); model MC123LL; firmwre: 05.11.07

Excellent !! I really appreciate your hard work. I was using 3gs 3.0 with baseband 4.26, not I got 3.1.2 jailbroke and unlocked with baseband still in 4.26, works perfect.
PS. after you jailbreak it, you must run ultrasn0w to unlock it in order to get the phone service, otherwise, it will only works like an iPod.
I have an iphone with firmware 2.2 and it was jailbreaked. How can I upgrade to firmware 3.12. If I upgrade to 3.12 with itune, will it affect the jailbreak, if so how can I unlock the iphone again.
