Hi,
I have an iPhone 3GS on software 3.0.1 (7A400) with modem firmware 04.26.08. It is currently Jailbroken and Unlocked using Ultrasn0w and Cydia, do I just follow the above steps? Will it work with iTunes 9.0.2? Will I lose contacts, calendar entries etc? These are currently backed up on my iTunes 8. Your help will be highly appreciated.

I’m new to all this, please help me to clarify a few things:

1/ Jailbreak = installing special firmware/software to allow you to install and run applications on your iphone ?
2/ Unlock = unlock the phone from att and allow you to use different sim cards. In order to unlock your phone, you have to jailbreak it first.

I have a 3GS with OS 3.1 right out-of-the-box. I need to jailbreak and unlock the phone. Please provide me with the instruction.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

i got a new iphone 3gs, but dont know what firmware its running, where can i find out?
anyways, i tired to jailbreak it but it didnt work, so i restored the iphone to facotry settings i.e. upgraded it to 3.1! will it work?

last question what exaclty do you mean by “it does not work for those who have an iPhone 3GS with Firmware 3.1 out-of-the-box”???

hellow people i really need help! i just but purchased the iphone 3gs with 3.1 version and 05.11.07 firmware. i upgraded the version into 3.1.2 because i thought i could unlock it but i only ended jailbreaking it. is there anyway i can unlock my phone?

You can´t unlock 3gs 3.1 firmware 05.11.07.

You have to wait until Dev team can help us.

Hi,
A friend will buy for me the iphone 3GS 16Go in Chicago, free of network.
I would like to know if the iphone will be compatible with my french network (SFR = Vodafone) after following this guide.
