Don’t have an Apple TV or a TiVo box, and want to watch Youtube on your TV. Now YouTube announced a new beta service today called YouTube for TV. YouTube blog reports that their TV Website offers a dynamic, lean-back, 10-foot television viewing experience through a streamlined interface that enables users to discover, watch and share YouTube videos on any TV screen with just a few quick clicks of remote control.

One thing to note is that the special TV version of the site cannot be accessed in your PC’s browser without using a special browser add-on like User Agent Switcher, which can trick YouTube into thinking that you’re visiting the site from your console. If you’ve got a Mac Mini hooked up to your TV, this might be your best bet.
How to use it:
- Install User Agent Switcher 0.6.11 for FireFox
- Set Mozilla/5.0 (PLAYSTATION 3; 2.00) and Opera/9.23 (Nintendo Wii; U; ; 1038-58; Wii Internet Channel/1.0; en)
- Go to http://www.youtube.com/tv
- Press F11 (FireFox full screen)
- Connect your PC to the TV (See how-to videos)

We recommend!
