At VidCon 2010 conference today, YouTube announced compatibility for the type of video that you typically see on 25 foot IMAX screens. Just as a comparison, 1080p is 1920×1080 pixels and 4k is 4096×3072 pixels. In other words, YouTube is drastically improving their video quality and the battle between online TV and cable just got more interesting. Check out the 4096p video on YouTube below.
I always loved the HD videos of YouTube and the 4K resolution is so crispy. I’m loving it.
