Facebook Messenger for Windows is officially launched now and available to download on your windows desktop. The new Facebook Messenger lets you chat, read feeds and check notifications and photo tags. You don’t need to be visiting Facebook.com to use Messenger. Currently the Facebook Messenger app will work only on Windows 7 PC, but Facebook team is currently working on a version of this app for Windows Vista and MAC.
Right now you can chat and message with individual friends, see what’s going on in your Facebook ticker and get the quick notifications about Facebook activity in Facebook Messenger. Chatting with multiple friends, Facebook video calling, are not currently available through the app. To do these you have to go Facebook.com in your web browser.
How to Download Facebook Messenger for Windows
To Download the Facebook Messenger on your Windows 7 PC, first you have login your Facebook profile from your browser. After the login visit Facebook Messenger page here to download the app in your Windows 7.
Now hit the green install button to install the Facebook Messenger on your PC, Once the installation is complete open Messenger for the first time, you’ll be logged in automatically.
After that you can see all your Facebook messages, notifications or ticker items on the Messenger Window. If you’re not logged in, you’ll need to do so then in order to view that content.
From here you can check all you new messages and notification and chat with your friends. As we mention above Video Calling features is still not available in Facebook messenger app. You can enjoy these features from your Web browser.
