The google installer apk has provided all the google services I need (and none that I dont) – contacts sync, calender sync, gmail and playstore on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G dual sim phone running MIUI18.104.22.168 , Android 4.4.4 . Very simple after wasting so much time on other failed solutions.
