How to Install OnePlus One YNG1TAS2I3 OTA on YNG1TAS17L

Yesterday, Oneplus released the new YNG1TAS2I3 OTA update for Oneplus one CM 12 (YNG1TAS17L) users. The update comes with lots of bug fixes and improvements. We also posted a guide how to Flash the YNG1TAS2I3 Full ROM on your CM 12 Oneplus one. But now the OTA ZIP file (20 MB) is also released and you can flash the same on your phone without losing your data. Now no need to download the whole 566MB YNG1TAS2I3 Full ROM. All you have to download a 20MB file on your Phone and flash it. To apply this update, your phone will be on YNG1TAS17L CM 12 and with Stock Recovery. If you have the rooted phone with TWRP recovery, then this guide will not work for you and you have to flash the full YNG1TAS2I3 ROM on your phone with TWRP.

This guide is only for those oneplus one users who are running on the YNG1TAS17L build with Stock recovery. If you have the TWRP recovery then go back tot he Stock recovery and follow the below mention guide to installing the 20MB OTA update on your phone.

Install OnePlus One YNG1TAS2I3 20MB Update on YNG1TAS17L

Step 1. As we mention above this guide will work only on the Stock Recovery. TWRP users follow this guide.

Step 2. Download the YNG1TAS2I3 20MB Update for One plus one here.

Step 3. Now rename the zip file to update.zip and move on your phones internal memory.

Step 4. Turn the phone off. Then boot it into the stock recovery mode by holding volume down + power.

Step 5. Now from the recovery main menu, select “Apply Update” option and browse the update zip file that you renamed ans saved on your phone in step 3.

Step 6. Now the flashing process will start on your phone and this will take some time to complete.

Step 7. Once complete, select “Reboot System Now” from recovery.

Thats, it. Now the phone will boot and first boot take some time to apply all the updates on your phone.
